Since childhood, I have been driven by curiosity and a deep passion for learning :)I have always been eager to explore new ideas and understand how things work, often looking at them from different perspectives.

I am naturally drawn to minimalism and clarity, preferring simplicity over anything cluttered or messy. From the very beginning, I have carried a positive mindset toward growth, always seeking to learn, improve, and see the bigger picture.

I was born in Bhojpur, Nepal, in 2008. I moved to Itahari for school, then to Kathmandu after the 6th grade, and later back to Itahari for my +2. Now I'm in Kathmandu again, working on small client projects, freelancing, and trying to figure out the next few years.

In the 6th grade I saw QBasic on a projector for the first time, and that was it. I knew I wanted to go toward computers. In 7th and 8th grade, my computer teacher, Nishan sir, made the basics feel easy, and I loved solving QBasic problems.

My web journey started in 9th grade, around 2021–2022. My new computer teacher at Prashanti Academy, Millan Sunuwar Rawacha sir (his YouTube channel), saw some potential in me and asked, why not build a website for the school? I said, why not, I can do anything.

I went home to my brother's Acer laptop. All I knew was that a website is a collection of web pages, and I only knew how to make one in Notepad. I never thought about hosting. A few days later I showed him my page on a pen drive. He liked it, but said it wasn't a real task yet: now host it and make it public.

I had no idea what that meant, so I did some research, found Netlify, and put my first site online under my own name at manishtamang.netlify.app. More of that time is in my Prashanti Academy post.

After that I wanted to build dynamic sites. I spent almost six months on PHP because it was trending, then found Next.js and left PHP behind. I still couldn't make a properly dynamic site, until I learned about CMSs and started building with Sanity. They even sent me some merch: a t-shirt in 2023 and a sweatshirt in 2024.

The journey is still going. I make minimal sites, freelance, and build projects. I've earned a bit along the way, and I'm still learning and working out what I'm for, and what's next.
